The ruling on a menstruating woman pretending to fast in Ramadan out of modesty

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message from Yemen was sent by one of the listeners, who indicated her name with the letters (A) and (M). Our sister asks about the ruling on one who pretends to fast in Ramadan during her monthly period, out of modesty. Is there any sin on her for doing so?

Answer:
There is no sin on her if she clarifies that she is menstruating, but she must not fast, and she must not intend to fast. As for if she remains silent and does not say, "I am menstruating," and does not say, "I am breaking my fast," that does not harm her. However, if she intends to fast, that is not permissible; this is reprehensible, and the fast is invalid. As for her sitting with them and not eating with the eaters out of modesty, while she eats at another time, except if there is a need for this, there is no harm. But there is no modesty in this matter, praise be to Allah. If she eats with the eaters, there is no harm.
The point is: if there is a need for modesty, but she does not intend to fast and does not fast, if there is a need for modesty and she does not eat with them, there is no harm, if it is for a legitimate religious interest. Yes.
