The ruling on performing wudu' with water from which animals have drunk

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Muhammad al-Sayyid 'Abduh from Buraydah sent a question, saying: Is it permissible to perform wudu' with water from which an animal has drunk, such as camels, sheep, and cows? And which animals' leftover water is not permissible to use for wudu'? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in drinking from water that has been drunk from by animals such as camels, cows, or sheep; because they are pure; because they are permissible. Likewise, donkeys and mules, according to the correct opinion, if they drink from it, it does not harm the water. The water is purifying, and if a mule or donkey drinks from it, they used to drink from the waters in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions. So the correct view is that there is no harm in the leftover water of a mule or donkey; it may be used.
As for if the animals are not of the usual kind, like a dog, its leftover water is not used but is poured out. Likewise, the leftover water of lions and tigers, and their like among the beasts of prey, is poured out, except if it is a large amount of water, such as when they come to ponds or pools; it does not harm, and no attention is paid to them, even if they drink from it; it does not harm. But if it drank from a vessel, if it drank from a vessel, it is poured out. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
