Ruling on a woman uncovering her hair and chest before her mahrams

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is uncovering the hair before brothers, maternal uncles, and paternal uncles forbidden?

Answer:
There is no harm in that. It is fine for a brother, paternal uncle, father, or son to see the hair on the head. However, covering up and maintaining modesty is better. It is more cautious and better for her to cover her head in the presence of her mahrams, especially in this age of weak faith and lack of restraint.
The point is: her being in their presence with her hair and body covered, except for the face and hands, is further from fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) and safer. But if they see her head, chest, or legs, there is no harm; there is no harm in that because they are mahrams. It is like when a woman sees the chest, head, or legs of her sister in Allah; there is nothing wrong with that. But for her to be modest in the presence of her mahrams, especially maternal uncles, paternal uncles, and brothers, is more critical. Being modest with them by wearing complete clothing except for the face and hands is more cautious, more complete, and further from danger.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
