The Ways of Sending Blessings Upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Also, there is a question here in which you say: I remember a saying from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever sends salah upon me once, Allah (SWT) will send salah upon him tenfoldمن صلى علي صلاة واحدة؛ صلى الله عليه بها عشرًا
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1297Sahih (Darussalam)
— "O Allah, send blessings upon him" — Is it obligatory that this sending of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) be exactly as it is in the Ibrahimiyyah prayer, or is there another way and another method? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
This is the best: the Ibrahimiyyah prayer. When his mention (peace and blessings be upon him) passes, one says: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, and bless Muhammad, and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed the family of Ibrahim, in the worlds. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic." This is one type.
Or one says: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, and upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic. O Allah, bless Muhammad, and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim, and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic." This is a second type.
A third type: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your Messenger, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim, and bless Muhammad, and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim, and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic."
Another type: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, and upon his wives, and his descendants, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, and bless Muhammad, and his wives, and his descendants, as You blessed the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic."
And so on; every type that is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), if one comes with it, the intended purpose is achieved. And if one shortens it and says: "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah," that is sufficient. Praise be to Allah. "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah" when he is mentioned.
And so on, after the completion of the adhan, when the mu'adhdhin calls; one sends blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then says:
O Allah, the Lord of this complete call and of this prayer, which is going to be established! Give Muhammad Al-Wasila and Al-Fadila and raise him to Al-Maqam-al-Mahmud which You have promised himاللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة، والصلاة القائمة، آتت محمدًا الوسيلة والفضيلة، وابعثه مقامًا محمودًا الذي وعدته، إنك لا تخلف الميعاد
Sahih al-Bukhari 4719
.
This is prescribed after the adhan, and after the iqamah. When he says: "There is no god but Allah," just as the mu'adhdhin said, one says after it: "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah," or one comes with the Ibrahimiyyah prayer, then says:
O Allah, the Lord of this complete call and of this prayer, which is going to be established! Give Muhammad Al-Wasila and Al-Fadila and raise him to Al-Maqam-al-Mahmud which You have promised himاللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة، والصلاة القائمة، آت محمدًا الوسيلة والفضيلة، وابعثه مقامًا محمودًا الذي وعدته
Sahih al-Bukhari 4719
narrated by al-Bukhari in the Sahih. Al-Bayhaqi added with a good isnad:
You do not break Your promiseإنك لا تخلف الميعاد
Muwatta Malik 20:132
And in the hadith:
Whoever says when he hears the call; my intercession is made lawful for him on the Day of Resurrection.من قال حين يسمع النداء؛ حلت له شفاعتي يوم القيامة
And in the other wording, he (peace and blessings be upon him) says:
When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, repeat what he says, then invoke a blessing on me, for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah; then beg from Allah al-Wasila for me, which is a rank in Paradise fitting for only one of Allah's servants, and I hope that I may be that one. If anyone who asks that I be given the Wasila, he will be assured of my intercession.
Sahih Muslim 384
.
So this is what is prescribed for the believer: for the mu'adhdhin, and for the one who hears the adhan, for the mu'adhdhin and the listener and the mu'aqqim, and the one who hears the iqamah. One says this dhikr, sends blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the Ibrahimiyyah prayer, or by saying: "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah," then says: "O Allah, Lord of this perfect call, and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the wasilah and the excellence, and raise him to the praiseworthy station which You have promised him. Indeed, You do not break Your promise."
Some people say: "And the high degree." And "the high degree" is not mentioned; "the high degree" is not in the narration. "The high degree" is the wasilah; it is the same wasilah, a high and great degree in Paradise. So if one says: "Grant Muhammad the wasilah and the excellence," that is sufficient. One does not need "and the high degree," because "the high degree" is the wasilah, it is the same thing being asked for, and it has no mention in the hadith ("the high degree"). But in some books it appears by mistake. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
