The ruling on dhikr and tasbih while performing household chores

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to recite tasbih, dhikr, and send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while we are doing housework? We ask for clarification. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
This is good. It is good for her to remember Allah, to recite the Qur'an, and to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while she is in the kitchen, or in her house, sewing, or sweeping the house, or doing something similar. She prays, remembers Allah, sends blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or reads; all of this is good. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to remember Allah in all his states," meaning in all his states—(peace and blessings be upon him)—standing, sitting, lying down, and walking (peace and blessings be upon him). And Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says in His great Book:
Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sidesالَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِهِمْ
[Al Imran: 191]. And He said (Exalted and Majestic is He):
And when the prayer has been concluded, disperse within the land and seek from the bounty of Allah, and remember Allah oftenفَإِذَا قُضِيَتِ الصَّلاةُ فَانتَشِرُوا فِي الأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا
[Al Jumu'ah: 10]. So the believer remembers Allah a lot, sitting, lying down, standing, walking, in the kitchen, in a gathering, in the bedroom, on the roof, in the car, in any place, except the place of relieving oneself (the bathroom). No, the place of relieving oneself is kept pure from the remembrance of Allah. One remains silent in the place of relieving oneself and remembers Allah with his heart, not with his tongue, in the place of relieving oneself. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
