Ruling on abbreviating the writing of (peace and blessings be upon him) with the letter (S)

Question:
The last question we are presenting from our sister in this episode is: She said to us, the teacher said: That abbreviating the phrase (peace and blessings be upon him) in the form of the letter Sad, or in the form of the word Sallam, is not permissible. Is this correct? And is there evidence?

Answer:
Yes, this should not be done; at the very least, it is disliked. This is because what is required is to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), not merely to indicate it. One should send blessings himself, both in writing and in speech, so that those who come after him and read the book may follow his example if it is written. As for the letter Sad, the reader may not understand it.
Furthermore, it is laziness and weakness, which is not befitting for a believer. So when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned, one says: (peace and blessings be upon him). And if one writes this, one writes it in full: (peace and blessings be upon him). One does not write Sad, nor Sallam. At the very least, this is disliked. Yes.
