The Ruling on Lost Property for One Who Cannot Advertise It for a Year

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
In another question, he says: My younger sister found a gold ring in the courtyard of our house, and this ring does not belong to us. What is the ruling in this matter? Knowing that we are unable to advertise it for a year? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: The ring is different if its value is easy and insignificant in the country, and it is not sought after by people of average means, meaning: it is not something a person of average income would strive to obtain. In that case, it is not advertised; its owner takes it, and the finder benefits from it, and praise be to Allah.
As for if the ring has a large value, then it is obligatory to advertise it for a full year, even if it is done twice or three times a month, saying "Who has a ring? Who has the ring?" If someone who knows it is found, otherwise it belongs to the one who found it; the woman who found it keeps the ring.
The presenter: A young girl, he says.
The Shaykh: ... Her guardian, her guardian is her father or her brother, who advertises it, ordering it to be advertised, even by paying a fee. The fee is paid from the value of the ring if it is sold. If they are unable to do so, they give it to a person who will advertise it, even by paying a fee; he is the one who advertises it for a fee and carries out the task. This is if it has value and importance, worth two hundred, three hundred, or four hundred. But if its value is fifty riyals or forty riyals, then it does not need to be advertised; its matter is simple, because if it were advertised, the cost would consume its value. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
