Perhaps Jesus, son of Mary, is a Messiah of guidance, and the Messiah al-Dajjal is a Messiah of misguidance

Question:
From the Syrian Arab Republic, this message was sent by the listener Qasim Sharif Halan, who says: Some of the scholars among us in Syria sometimes invoke, saying: “O Allah, protect us from the trial of the Messiah al-Dajjal.” What we understand is that the Messiah is Jesus, son of Mary. Please guide us regarding what is correct. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Both are called Messiah: al-Dajjal is a Messiah, and Jesus, son of Mary, is a Messiah. The Messiah al-Dajjal is a Messiah of misguidance, one of the callers to trial, evil, and corruption in the end times. He will emerge among the people from the east, claim to be a prophet, and then claim to be the Lord of the worlds. He will have some supernatural phenomena. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned us of his trial and prescribed for us to seek refuge with Allah from his trial at the end of every prayer and in our supplications. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There would be no creation (creating more trouble) than the Dajjal right from the creation of Adam to the Last Hour.ما بين خلق آدم إلى قيام الساعة أعظم من الدجال
Sahih Muslim 2946a
And in another wording:
A matter greater than the matter of al-Dajjalأمر أعظم من أمر الدجال
. Al-Dajjal has a great trial. He is blind in his right eye, and the word “disbeliever” is written between his eyes.
It is prescribed for the believer to ask Allah for safety from his trial in his prayer, as Allah has prescribed for us. It is obligatory for believing men and women to know the difference between this one and that one. Al-Dajjal is a Messiah of misguidance, and one of the callers to falsehood, evil, disbelief, and misguidance. He calls people to believe that he is the Lord of the worlds.
It is obligatory for whoever encounters him to deny him, to lie to him, to stay away from his trial, and to ask his Lord for safety.
As for the Messiah, son of Mary, he is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. Allah sent him to the Children of Israel and revealed to him a great book, the Gospel, calling them to the oneness of Allah and to following the Torah and what is in it, and the Gospel. Allah created him from a female without a male, from Mary, the truthful woman (may Allah be pleased with her). Allah said to him: “Be,” and he was. So he has no father; rather, Allah created him by His great power. He sent Gabriel to Mary, and he breathed into her, so she became pregnant by the permission of Allah. He is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, and he is the last of the prophets of the Children of Israel. After him, there is no one except our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Our Prophet is the Seal of the Prophets, and Jesus (peace be upon him) is the Seal of the prophets of the Children of Israel; he is their last one. Then Allah sent our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) from the Arabs after him, and he is the Seal of all the prophets; there is no prophet after him.
And 'Isa will descend in the last of time, ruling with the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and he will kill the Dajjal. He will meet him in Palestine and kill him, with the Muslims with him, the Muslims with 'Isa. Then 'Isa will die (peace be upon him), as He said in the story of 'Isa:
And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his deathوَإِنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ
[al-Nisa':159], meaning: in the last of time, at the time of his descent. He said before that:
And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to themوَمَا قَتَلُوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُوهُ وَلَكِنْ شُبِّهَ لَهُمْ
[al-Nisa':157].
The believer believes that Jesus, son of Mary, is the Messenger of Allah, the servant of Allah and His Messenger, and he affirms his messengership (peace be upon him), and that he will descend in the end times. He will rule by the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and Allah will kill al-Dajjal by his hand. People will live in his time a great life, at the peak of uprightness upon guidance, and tawhid and Islam will spread over the earth. Then he will die as the other prophets and the righteous died, ruling by the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), not by the Shari'ah of the Gospel or the Torah. He will rule by the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). And Allah is the One to be asked for help. Yes.
