The ruling on one who misses a rak'ah with the imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the imam is in the third rak'ah and the ma'mum is masbuq by one rak'ah, meaning he is in the second, does he sit for the tashahhud, or does he stand with the imam? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
He follows the imam, and the tashahhud is dropped from him. If he catches up with the imam for a rak'ah, he sits with him for the tashahhud when the imam sits. This is the third for the imam and the first for the ma'mum; there is no harm in this. He sits with him in order to follow him. He does not sit after the third, which is the third for the imam himself but the second for the ma'mum. It is dropped from him at that time because he is obligated to follow. Yes.
