Ruling on the prayer and fasting of a woman who does not observe hijab

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We move on to another message received by the program from the listener Safaa Humaid from Iraq. Our brother has a collection of questions, one of which asks and says: What is the ruling in Islam regarding a woman who prays and fasts, but does not observe hijab?

Answer:
Her fast is valid, and her prayer is valid, and praise be to Allah. She must repent for leaving off hijab. Sins do not invalidate her prayer or her fast. This is a sin, the failure to observe hijab, or perhaps she may speak words that are not good, such as backbiting or talebearing. This does not invalidate her prayer, but it is a deficiency in her faith and a weakness in her faith. She must repent to Allah for that.
So it is with hijab. Leaving off hijab in the presence of men is a sin, but her fast is not invalidated, and her prayer is not invalidated. She must repent for that. Not observing hijab is considered a weakness in faith, as is backbiting people or doing other sins. This is a deficiency in faith and a weakness in faith. If she performs the prayer with its conditions and obligations, at its proper time, her prayer is valid.
And so it is with fasting. If she abstains from what is forbidden for her to consume during fasting, her fast is valid and fulfills the obligation for her. But if she engages in some sins, it becomes a deficiency in her fast, such as backbiting or lying and the like. It becomes a deficiency in her fast and a weakness in her religion. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
