Covering the face before the mother’s husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 2012 )
Q1: A man married a woman and she bore him daughters, then he divorced her. Another man married her and she bore him daughters as well. Do the daughters of the second man have to cover themselves before the first man, and if they do cover themselves, is he permitted to marry any of them?
A1: If a man marries a woman and has intercourse with her, it is permanently forbidden for him to marry any of her daughters or the daughters of her sons, no matter how far down the line they are, whether they are from a previous or a subsequent husband. This is based on the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He):
Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothersحُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَّهَاتُكُمْ
[An-Nisa 4:23]
up to His saying:
your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone inوَرَبَائِبُكُمُ اللاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِكُمُ اللاتِي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ
[An-Nisa 4:23]
. The stepdaughter here means the daughter of the wife. He is considered a mahram (a relative one may not marry) to the daughters of the woman he married and had intercourse with, and it is permissible for them not to cover themselves before him.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
