Question:
After this, we move to the Kingdom of Morocco to review a message received by the program from one of the brother listeners there. He says: In the name of Abdullah, the brother Basim. His first question is: What are the books you recommend reading?
Answer:
The greatest book I advise you and others to read is the Great Qur'an. It is the greatest, most noble, and most truthful book, the Book of the Great Allah. We advise all the brothers and sisters to read it frequently, to reflect on its meanings. Every letter is a good deed, and a good deed is rewarded tenfold. It contains great knowledge, the call to good, to noble morals, and to righteous deeds. It also contains warnings and cautions against everything Allah has forbidden. So we advise everyone to read the Qur'an frequently with reflection and understanding, as Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Isra: 9], [Fussilat: 44]. And He the Exalted says: [Sad: 29].
Then the books containing authentic hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), if you are among the people of knowledge, such as the books of al-Bukhari and Muslim. And the books written on authentic hadiths from which you can benefit, such as 'Umdat al-Hadith by the Shaykh: 'Abd al-Ghani ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab al-Maqdisi, and such as Bulugh al-Maram, which contains much good, even though it has weak hadiths, but they are indicated. It is a good and beneficial book, Bulugh al-Maram. And Muntakha al-Akhbar by Ibn Taymiyyah, the glorious one.
These are beneficial books, even if they contain some weak hadiths, but the weak ones are identified by the author's notes and by al-Shawkani in his Nihayah, which is a commentary on al-Muntakha. And in Bulugh al-Maram, the author has indicated the weak hadiths.
And you should ask the people of knowledge about what is difficult for you. And such as Riyad al-Salihin, a good and beneficial book. You can read it in your home, to your brothers, in your home, and between you and your colleagues, and you will benefit.
And in creed, such as Fath al-Mujid by the Shaykh: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Hasan, the book of Tawhid by the Shaykh: Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab, Kashf al-Shubuhat by him as well (may Allah have mercy on him). The Three Principles is a good book by the Shaykh: Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him). Al-'Aqidah al-Wasitiyyah by the Shaykh of Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. These books are beneficial for the male and female student. It is recommended to memorize them and benefit from them. Fath al-Mujid is a good book, a commentary on the book of Tawhid. It is recommended to benefit from it. These are the known, sound books of creed, such as Ibn Abi al-'Izz's commentary on the Matn al-Tahawiyyah, such as al-Hamawiyyah by the Shaykh of Islam, al-Tadmuriyyah by the Shaykh of Islam, and Luma' al-I'tiqad by al-Muwaqqi. These are good books in creed, such as Ibn Kathir's Tafsir, a beneficial book in exegesis. Ibn Kathir's Tafsir (may Allah have mercy on him) and al-Baghawi's. Yes.
