Ruling on praying in impure clothing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We move on to his second question, in which he says: I prayed while my undergarments were not in a state of ritual purity, and I was forgetful. Do I have to repeat what I prayed?

Answer:
If a Muslim prays and there is impurity in his clothing, and he does not remember it until after the prayer, or he does not know about it until after the prayer, then his prayer is valid according to the correct view, and he is excused due to ignorance and forgetfulness, provided his prayer ended before he became aware of it. This is based on the saying of Allah, the Exalted:
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.رَبَّنَا لا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا
[Surat al-Baqarah: 286]. It is also established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once entered prayer while there was filth on his sandals. Jibril informed him during the prayer that there was filth on them, so he took them off. He did not repeat the beginning of the prayer, but continued in his prayer because he was unaware of that filth. Similarly, if a person enters prayer and there is some impurity in his clothing, and he does not know about it, or does not remember it until after finishing, then his prayer is valid according to the most correct of the scholars' opinions. Yes.
