Ruling on combining two prayers for a traveler

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a person leaves his town for a journey or a picnic in the daytime of Ramadan and intends to fast, but he performs the prayer by combining and shortening it, is his action valid?

Answer:
If a person travels from his town for a picnic or otherwise for a distance of shortening or more, which is approximately eighty kilometers, then it is prescribed for him to shorten the prayer and break his fast. As for combining, there is a detail: if he is settled and stationary, it is better not to combine, but rather to pray each prayer in its time; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) shortened the prayer during the Farewell Pilgrimage in Mina while he was settled, and he did not combine.
However, if he is on the move, it is better for him to combine, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in that, and success is from Allah.
