Is it permissible for a wife to give charity on behalf of her deceased mother?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
From Baghdad as well, from Umm 'Ala, she says: Is it permissible for a married daughter to distribute the reward to her deceased mother, knowing that the husband agrees to perform the charity at the husband's expense, and finally, our sincere thanks to you?
Answer: There is no harm in giving charity to her Muslim parents from her own money or from her husband's money if he permits it. It is permissible for her to give charity from her own money or from her husband's money—whatever Allah has made easy in terms of money—to her Muslim parents, or to her Muslim brothers, or to her maternal aunts, or to her paternal aunts, or to her children. There is nothing wrong with this. It is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) what indicates this, and a woman said:
Allah's Messenger, my mother died all of a sudden without making any will. I think if (she could have the opportunity) to speak she would have made a Sadaqa. Would there be any reward for her if I give charity on her behalf? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes.يا رسول الله! إن أمي ماتت ولم توص وأظنها لو تكلمت تصدقت، أفلها أجر إن تصدقت عنها؟ قال النبي ﷺ: نعم
Sahih Muslim 1004d
. And the Muslims, all the scholars of Islam, have agreed that charity reaches the deceased and benefits the deceased, and so does supplication. If a person gives charity on behalf of his parents who are known to be Muslim, or supplicates for them, that benefits them, whether the money is from his own specific wealth or from the wealth of another if he permits him to do so. For example, if the husband gives his wife and says, "There is no harm, give charity from my money," or if her brother says, "Give charity from it," or if her father says the same, or if her paternal uncle gives her money to give as charity, there is no harm; it benefits the deceased if the deceased is Muslim. As for if the deceased is a disbeliever, one does not give charity on behalf of a disbeliever; this is only for the Muslim deceased. Yes.
