The Preference of Combining Responding to the Adhan with the Greeting Prayer of the Mosque on Friday

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This message is from Dammam, sent by Muhammad Abdullah al-Bakri. He says in his message: If a Muslim enters the mosque and, upon reaching the row, the mu'adhdhin begins the adhan, should the Muslim start performing the greeting prayer of the mosque, or should he stand and wait until the mu'adhdhin finishes so that he can follow him and obtain the virtue of following, especially during the first adhan on Friday, where he would be performing the greeting prayer during the imam's sermon and might miss part of the sermon? We ask for your guidance, as many people disagree on this issue?
Answer: It is better for the one who enters the mosque and finds the mu'adhdhin has begun the adhan to stand until he responds to the mu'adhdhin, then to pray the greeting prayer of the mosque. This is the best if it is feasible; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
When you hear the Mu'adhdhin then say what he saysإذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثلما يقول
Sunan an-Nasa'i 678Sahih (Darussalam)
This is how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded. So the Sunnah for you, O you who enter, is to stand and respond to the mu'adhdhin, then to pray two rak'ahs if that is feasible. If this is difficult for you because the mu'adhdhin prolongs the adhan, or because you cannot bear standing, then start with the two rak'ahs, and there is no blame on you, and praise be to Allah. Then respond to the mu'adhdhin afterwards if you are able. If you are able, meaning if you finish the two rak'ahs and the mu'adhdhin is still calling, respond to the mu'adhdhin, and praise be to Allah. As for sitting, no, it is not permissible for you to sit until you have performed the two rak'ahs. Either after the completion of the adhan, so that you combine the two benefits and the two virtues, or start with the two rak'ahs and leave off responding to the mu'adhdhin, and there is no blame on you for that. But combining the two benefits and bearing the standing so that you combine responding to the mu'adhdhin with praying two rak'ahs, this is the best for you and the most excellent if it is feasible. Yes.
