Ruling on plucking the eyebrow hair for the sake of adornment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a letter from Jeddah from the sender (J. S.) who says: I am impressed by the program *Nur 'ala al-Darb* and love it, and she says: I hope my letter will be presented to His Eminence Shaykh: Abdul Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Baz or Shaykh: Abdullah ibn Muhammad: What is the ruling on a woman plucking her eyebrow hair for adornment, and likewise removing facial hair? I ask for a detailed answer?
Answer: It is not permissible for a woman to take anything from her eyebrows or her face; because the scholars of the Arabic language said: that *namas* (plucking) for which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed its doer is taking from the eyebrows or from the facial hair, and plucking it or taking it with the tweezers, which is the plucking tool, so she is not allowed to take from her eyebrows, and she is not allowed to take from her facial hair, rather she must leave it alone and beware of what came from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the curse; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who plucks and the one who has it plucked. The scholars said: and *namas* is taking facial hair or taking eyebrow hair, so she is not allowed to do that, and she must fear Allah in that, but if a beard, or a mustache, or hair contrary to the custom grows on her, meaning hair that disfigures her, then there is no harm in her taking it and removing it, as for the ordinary thing that is not disliked, this is left alone, and likewise the eyebrows are not touched.
