Ruling on building a mosque in a square or hexagonal shape

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We received a message from listeners in al-Qassim, the first being Nasser al-Sa'ud al-Shahid and 'Uwayd ibn Fahid. They say in this message: Is it permissible for a mosque to be in a square or hexagonal shape?
Answer: We know of nothing regarding this; we know of nothing about it being square or hexagonal. The important thing is that it be in the clear form of mosques, with its mihrab and its path, and a shape that suits the rows, so that there is no crookedness in it and no inconveniences, and the rows are complete and straight. As for the shapes of the building, the matter is broad; the matter of the shapes of the building is broad. We know of nothing specific regarding the shape of the building. But what is intended by this is that the building be spacious for the worshippers, and the rows be regular and straight in one line, such that when people see it or enter it, they know that it is a mosque. That is, it should be clear, a clear mosque building according to the custom of the country and the way of the country in which there are mosques. Yes.
