The ruling on praying two rak'ahs before entering upon the wife on the wedding night

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The question: They say that there is a prayer for marriage, which they call the sunnah of marriage, and it is before entering, meaning before intercourse. They say that two rak'ahs are prayed, or that one prays two rak'ahs, and after that comes the entering. Please inform us, may you be rewarded?
The answer: Some reports (athar) are narrated regarding this from some of the Companions, praying two rak'ahs before entering, but there is no report in it that can be relied upon in terms of authenticity. If one prays two rak'ahs as some of the Salaf did, there is no harm, and if he does not do so, there is no harm. The matter is broad in this regard, and I do not know of a correct sunnah in this that can be relied upon. Yes.
