Ruling on going to the well between Madinah and Hail for treatment

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This question, O Noble Shaykh, was sent to us from 'Ayyadh ibn Muhammad Siraj al-Harithi. He says: From Wadi Maysan to the honorable Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Baz, we inform you that there is a well located between al-Madinah al-Munawwarah and Hail, and people gather there from all over, seeking healing from its water. They claim that it cures all diseases, such as scabies, allergies, and paralysis... and so on. He says: Please inform us, with your thanks, about the ruling on going to it?
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his companions, and whoever follows his guidance.
As for what follows:
This well about which the brother 'Ayyadh asked has also been asked about by others. We have considered what has been reported about it and what those who use its water have observed. It has become clear to us from this that it is beneficial in many cases, and that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has placed in its water a cure for some skin diseases and allergies. We see no obstacle to people seeking healing with this water, in which Allah has placed blessing and benefit for Muslims, even if it may harm others, because they use it for things that do not suit them.
The conclusion is that it is beneficial for many diseases, and there is no blame in benefiting from it for one who finds benefit in it and feels its effectiveness. There is no blame in that, just as one uses other medicines. Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has made a cure for every disease, as in the authentic hadith. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has sent down for it a cure; those who know it know it, and those who do not know it do not know itما أنزل الله داء إلا أنزل له شفاء، علمه من علمه وجهله من جهله
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 17:517
So this water has some benefits for some diseases, and there is no blame in that. However, it is recommended that whoever visits it and deals with it should be careful in that, and ask those who have tried it, so that they do not fall into what harms them. They should ask the experienced users and use what has become clear to be beneficial, and leave what harms them. This is what is recommended. Yes.
