The Sunnah in the Witr Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He says: I pray eleven rak'ahs every night, I recite aloud, and I pray without making a vow for this prayer. I make supplication in the last prayer—that is, the Witr—and I begin it at ten o'clock. Is this prayer of mine valid or not?
Answer: This is the best. The Sunnah Witr is eleven rak'ahs. This is the best: eleven or thirteen. This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did. This is a good Tahajjud and a good Witr. If you do this, it is from the Sunnah, and you will be rewarded for it, if Allah wills. There is no blame in that. However, it is not obligatory, but rather recommended. It is not obligatory; if you pray Witr on some nights with five, or seven, or three, there is no blame in that. Yes.
The presenter: Thank you to His Eminence Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz.
