Utilizing Media in Calling to Allah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! You have also encouraged making use of media, including those that involve photography, but some of those who call to Allah are still hesitant about that image. What does Your Eminence say?
Answer: Yes, there is no doubt that among them are those who are hesitant about it, which is photography for the purpose of broadcasting on television and spreading knowledge on television. This varies according to what Allah has given people in terms of knowledge, perception, insight, and looking at the consequences. So, if Allah opens the chest of a person and his knowledge expands... to work on television and convey the messages of Allah, then he has his reward and his recompense with Allah. And if the matter is confusing for a person and his chest does not open to it, then we hope that he is excused.
As for me, I believe that if Allah opens the chest of a person for that and helps him with it, then this great benefit, which is spreading the religion and guiding people to good, excuses what occurs of photography for this matter. Since he is photographed for the sake of this matter, it is a partial harm that is submerged in the face of the great benefit, which is conveying the messages of Allah to people, teaching people the Shari'ah of Allah, and guiding people to good, so that the field is not left empty for the people of falsehood, and so that the scope of the calls of the people of falsehood to their falsehood does not expand. And we ask Allah for safety and success. Yes.
The presenter: O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good.
