The Reality of the Tijaniyyah Method and the Ruling on Praying Behind Its Followers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks and says: If a person is of the Tijaniyyah method, is it permissible for him to lead people in prayer as an imam?

Answer:
The Tijaniyyah method is a malicious and bad method. It is not permissible to adopt it, nor to remain upon it. It is not permissible for its people to be taken as imams in the mosques, nor to pray behind them. Rather, it is obligatory to abandon it and to beware of it. We have written what was possible regarding this, and that writing is distributed to know its reality. So my advice to its people is to abandon it and to be upright upon the method of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the origin of their seclusion and in all their deeds. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says: :
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent patternلَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ
[Al-Ahzab: 21]. So the model is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), not Ahmad al-Tijani or anyone else.
So it is obligatory upon the people of Islam to take the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as their model in their words, deeds, and conduct, and to be upright upon his religion and his path—(peace and blessings be upon him)—and to implement what Allah and His Messenger ordered, and to cease from what Allah and His Messenger forbade.
As for the Tijaniyyah creed, it is an invented method and a denounced religious innovation. It is not permissible to take from it except what agrees with the Book and the Sunnah. What agrees with the Book and the Sunnah; there is no harm in it or in anything else; because the consideration is agreement with the Book and the Sunnah. And what contradicts that; it is obligatory to discard it and abandon it. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
