How to Advise a Mother Who Does Not Regularly Perform the Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was received by the program from the listener Fadel Hamid Gharbi from the village of Samum in the Samarra district of Iraq. In his message, he asked more than one question, one of which was: "I often guide my mother to prayer and tell her, 'Pray,' but she gets angry with me for two or three days. She prays sometimes and stops sometimes. What do you advise me to do in this situation? May Allah reward you with good."

Answer:
We advise you to continue advising her with kind words and a good manner, while making du'a' for her in your prayer and in times other than prayer that Allah will guide her and help her to be steadfast upon the truth and to maintain the prayer at its appointed times. Do not get tired or bored, and strive to advise her at all times, but with gentleness, kind words, and a good manner, not with harshness or violence; because her right is great. Along with this, you should make du'a' for her in your prayer during the prostration, at the end of the prayer before the taslim, at night, in the last part of the night, and in other times, asking Allah to bestow guidance upon her, to expand her chest for the truth, and to grant her the ability to maintain the prayer.
If you seek the help of others, such as your father if he is present, or your other brothers, or your maternal uncles, to help you in advising her with a good manner, that is a good thing, and perhaps Allah will guide her through your efforts. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
