The ruling on breaking the fast for a traveler during the day in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener (A. A. A.), a Sudanese resident in Jubail, sent a message containing a long question, which I have summarized in the following words: “I am traveling by camel during the day in Ramadan, and the journey takes twenty-five days. At the beginning of my journey, I broke my fast. After covering half the distance, my camel died, and I found nothing to continue the rest of the journey with, so I waited on the caravan route for a week while breaking my fast. What is the ruling on what I did? May Allah reward you with good?”

Answer:
There is no blame on you. You are a traveler from the moment you left your town. Once you have left the town, you are a traveler. You do not break your fast in the town, but breaking the fast is after leaving the town, after passing beyond the buildings. And you are in a state of travel, so you shorten the prayer and break your fast.
Likewise, when your camel died, you are waiting without a known duration of stay. You are waiting; so there is no blame on you for shortening the prayer and breaking your fast, because you are under the ruling of travel, and you do not know when you will travel from this place where the camel died, because you are waiting for Muslims to pass by you. So there is no blame on you, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
