The Ruling on a Woman Praying with Her Hands and Feet Exposed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on a woman praying inside her home with her hands and feet exposed, provided that no man sees her?

Answer:
A woman is an awrah (part of the body that must be covered); her entire body is an awrah. She must cover her body in prayer, even if no one is present except her face; the Sunnah is to expose it. As for the rest of her body, it is prescribed to cover it, and indeed it is obligatory to cover it, except for the hands. Some scholars have permitted exposing them, but it is better to cover them, and the most cautious approach is to cover them. If she prays with her feet, head, arms, or chest exposed, her prayer is invalid.
Therefore, it is obligatory for a woman to cover herself except for her face, and likewise the hands; the most cautious approach is to cover them, because she is an awrah in her entirety, even if no non-mahram is present. Yes.
