Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: I am Egyptian, and I reside in Oman, and I want to pay the zakat for the month of Ramadan; the zakat al-fitr for my children who are in Egypt. Is that permissible?

Answer:
You must pay the zakat for yourself and for your children in Oman, and praise be to Allah; because they follow you, so you must pay the zakat for the children and the wife with you. Even if everyone is in Egypt, or in a place other than Egypt, they are followers of you, so you must pay the zakat for them in your location -zakat al-fitr- yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
