Answer:
There is nothing wrong with wearing jewelry. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) approved of it, and there is no blame in it. As for what is narrated regarding the prohibition of it, those are hadiths that have been abrogated... some of them are weak hadiths, and some are abrogated hadiths. This is the correct position. There is nothing wrong with wearing jewelry such as rings and bracelets; there is no blame in that. The Sunnah is authentic regarding this, and some scholars have reported the consensus of the scholars on this, that there is no blame in it. And praise be to Allah.
The correct position is that there is no blame in it, and that there is no blame in rings and jewelry made of gold and silver.
