Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is the hadith:
There are seven whom Allah will shade in His shade on the day on which there is no shade except His shadeالسبعة الذين يظلهم الله في ظله يوم لا ظل إلا ظله
Muwatta Malik 51:14
specific to men, or is it also specific to women who are included in it?

Answer:
The hadith is general for men and women. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There are seven whom Allah will shade in His shade on the day on which there is no shade except His shade: a just imam, a youth who grows up worshipping Allahسبعة يظلهم الله في ظله، يوم لا ظل إلا ظله: إمام عادل، وشاب نشأ في عبادة الله
Muwatta Malik 51:14
And so, a woman who grows up in the worship of Allah
And a man whose heart is attached to the mosquesورجل قلبه معلق بالمساجد

two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause onlyورجلان تحابا في الله، اجتمعا عليه، وتفرقا عليه
Sahih al-Bukhari 660

a man whom a beautiful woman of high rank seduces (for illicit relation), but he (rejects this offer by saying):" I fear Allah"ورجل دعته امرأة ذات منصب وجمال، فقال: إني أخاف الله
Sahih Muslim 1031a
This is the fifth. And so, if a woman is invited by a man of status and beauty, and she says: "Indeed, I fear Allah," she is among the seven whom Allah will shade in His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His.
The sixth:
a person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has givenرجل تصدق بصدقة، فأخفاها حتى لا تعلم شماله ما تنفق يمينه
Sahih al-Bukhari 1423

The seventh:
a person who remembers Allah in seclusionرجل ذكر الله خاليًا
Sahih al-Bukhari 660
Meaning: no one is with him
And his eyes overflowففاضت عيناه
out of fear of Allah, meaning: he wept out of fear of Allah, with no one present, out of sincerity, and out of faith, and out of fear of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). He is among the seven. And so, if a woman weeps out of fear while alone, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
