The manner of greeting a non-mahram woman

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Finally, our brother asks and says: What is the correct manner of greeting non-mahram women?

Answer:
It is like the greeting to others: "As-salamu alaykum" (Peace be upon you), or "As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh" (Peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings), for both men and women. And if he says "Alaykum" with a nun (feminine plural), there is no harm.
The point is: This is the Shari'ah greeting. They say in return: "Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh" (And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings), just as he said to them. If he said "As-salamu alaykum," it is obligatory for them to say "Wa alaykum as-salam." If he said "Wa rahmatullahi," it is obligatory for them to say "Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi." If he said "As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh," it is obligatory to respond by saying "Wa alaykum as-salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh." Because Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says:
And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet [in return] with one better than it or [at least] return itوَإِذَا حُيِّيتُمْ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا أَوْ رُدُّوهَا
[An-Nisa: 86]. So the response is obligatory, and the addition is recommended. The addition of "wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh" is recommended.
So if the Muslim says it, it is obligatory for both men and women to respond to it. So if he passes by women, or enters their house, he greets them, but in a manner that does not involve fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), rather it should be with hijab (the covering prescribed for women), with modesty, and without seclusion with a woman. It should be in a Shari'ah manner that involves no fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) and no suspicion. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
