The ruling on using makeup to beautify oneself for one’s husband

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner asks: Is it forbidden for a woman in her home to apply makeup with the intention of beautifying herself for her husband, or is it not? It is known that no one sees her except her husband.

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with it. There is no blame on her for using makeup or anything else that beautifies her face, provided it does not cause harm. If the makeup or something else, such as soap, is used for the purpose of beautification, there is nothing wrong with it, except if that substance harms the face, causes black spots, or leads to illness; in that case, it is not permissible.
However, if it cleanses the face, brightens it, and does not harm the face, and the intention is to beautify herself for her husband, then there is nothing wrong with this, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
