Ruling on shaking hands with and kissing a brother through breastfeeding

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner (R. M. H.) from al-Qassim: We reviewed her question in a previous session. She says: I have a brother through breastfeeding. I greet him and kiss him as I would my brother. Is what I am doing correct? Is he forbidden to me? I ask you to answer.

Answer:
Yes. He is forbidden to you. If the breastfeeding is established, he is forbidden to you just as your brother by blood is. It is permissible for you to kiss him between his eyes, on his nose, or on his head, and to shake his hand, just as you would with your brother by blood or your uncle by blood. He is forbidden if the breastfeeding is established as five breastfeedings or more within the two-year period. If the breastfeeding is established as five breastfeedings or more while he was within the two-year period, there is no harm. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
