Question:
The questioner from Jordan, who used the initials (R. H.) for her name, says in this question: I read in Sunan al-Nasa'i a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explaining the dislike of women displaying gold, and I hear many fatwas stating that displaying a ring or bracelet for a woman is not forbidden, because it is part of the apparent adornment that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) permitted . Please guide us regarding this matter, for its importance, may you be rewarded?
Answer:
Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says: [Surat al-Nur: 31]. Therefore, displaying adornment in the form of jewelry on the hands, neck, or ears, all of this is among the forbidden things. It is not permissible for her to display adornment; rather, it is obligatory for her to cover herself and observe hijab. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Surat al-Ahzab: 53].
Therefore, it is obligatory for a woman to cover her face and her entire body in the presence of non-mahrams. This includes covering her hands and what is on them, such as bracelets and rings, covering her neck and what is on it, and covering her face and what is in her ears. All of this is obligatory. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Surat al-Ahzab: 33]. The scholars said: The meaning of that is displaying one's beauty. The meaning of tabarruj is displaying one's beauty and charms. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says:
not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers
وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ آبَائِهِنَّAnd when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
Therefore, it is obligatory for a woman to cover her face and her entire body in the presence of non-mahrams. And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance
وَلا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الأُولَىThe presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
