What does the one praying do when he hears the mention of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the prayer?

Question:
He says: If I am praying in a congregational prayer where the imam recites aloud, and during the imam's recitation the mention of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) comes up, such as His saying, the Exalted:
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with himمُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ
[Al-Fath: 29], is it permissible for me to say: (peace and blessings be upon him) when our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned?

Answer:
The best is to listen attentively. If the imam is reciting in Maghrib, 'Isha', Fajr, or Jumu'ah, the best is to listen attentively, so do not glorify Allah when the glorification and the declaration of His oneness are mentioned, and do not send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he is mentioned; because Allah says:
So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attentionوَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنصِتُوا
[Al-A'raf: 204]. So the best is to listen attentively. If you send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or say "Subhan Allah" when the names of Allah are mentioned, there is no blame on you, but leaving this is better; because what is preserved from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is that when he recited in the loud prayers, he did not stop at the verse of mercy, nor at the verse of warning, nor at the verse of names and attributes; he continued. So the best for you is to listen and not stop and not say anything when the verses pass by from the imam while he is reciting, and not from you while you are reciting in the obligatory prayer.
As for the voluntary prayer, the matter is broad. In the Tahajjud at night and the like, if you recite, you stop at the verse of mercy to ask, at the verse of warning to seek refuge, at the names of Allah to glorify Allah, and at the mention of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to send blessings upon him, (peace and blessings be upon him). And likewise, if you are behind the imam in something like Tarawih or standing in prayer in Ramadan and he stops to make du'a', you also make du'a', or if he stops to send blessings upon him, you send blessings upon him. But if he continues, you listen attentively; because you are commanded to listen attentively. Yes...

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
