Ruling on raising the voice at the funeral and reciting Surah Yasin during the burial

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a caller to the program, Abdullah Ahmad from Yemen, who says: It is customary among us that when people carry the funeral to the cemetery, they recite the dhikr: "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah), repeatedly, in a collective voice. And when they arrive at the cemetery, they recite Surah Yasin in a collective voice. Please guide us regarding this practice in terms of its permissibility. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Raising their voices in a collective manner while carrying the funeral is a religious innovation (bid'ah) with no basis. What is prescribed (mashru') when carrying the funeral is for the person to remember this destination, to remember the Hereafter and death, and to have remembrance, fear, and caution. As for reciting "La ilaha illa Allah" in a collective voice, this is a religious innovation (bid'ah) with no basis. Likewise, reciting Surah Yasin at the grave is a religious innovation (bid'ah) with no basis; because Surah Yasin is recited for the dying person before he dies, in his home or in any place. As for reciting it in the cemeteries, or during the burial, this is a religious innovation (bid'ah) with no basis. Yes.
