The Time of the Duha Prayer and the Night Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In her second question, she asks about the Duha prayer and the night prayer: when do they begin and when do they end?

Answer:
The night prayer is between Maghrib and 'Isha', and after 'Isha' it is all night prayer. The best time is after 'Isha', in the middle of the night, or at the end of the night. Then one concludes the prayer with Witr, one single rak'ah. It is recommended for the believer to strive in the night after 'Isha', or in the middle of the night, or at the end of the night, to strive and pray two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs, with khushu' (humility) and tranquility, with supplication to Allah, and with du'a' (supplication), and to conclude with one rak'ah, based on his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) in the hadith:
Prayer during the night should consist of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one of you fears the morning is near he should pray one rak'ah which will make his prayer an odd number for him.صلاة الليل مثنى مثنى، فإذا خشي أحدكم الصبح صلى ركعة واحدة، توتر له ما قد صلى
Sunan Abi Dawud 1326Sahih (Al-Albani)
.
And if he prays between the two 'Isha' times, that is also a place for prayer. Between the two 'Isha' times is a place for prayer. If he prays whatever number of rak'ahs is easy for him, that is also good, a place for worship.
And so it is during the day. One worships during the day in the Duha and in the Zuhr. The Duha prayer is a sunnah (recommended practice) after the sun has risen. The best time is when the Duha becomes intense; he prays two rak'ahs, he prays four, he prays more than that, all of it is good. After 'Isha', after Zuhr, he prays four before Zuhr and four after Zuhr; it is recommended, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever prays regularly four Rak'at before and four Rak'at after the Zuhr prayer, Allah will forbid for him (from entering) the Hellfire.من حافظ على أربع قبل الظهر، وأربع بعدها حرمه الله على النار
Bulugh al-Maram 2:262
. And if he prays many rak'ahs between Zuhr and 'Asr, all of it is good worship. Or if he prays many rak'ahs in the Duha, all of it is good. But the minimum is two rak'ahs in the Duha, and the minimum after Zuhr is four rak'ahs after Zuhr with two taslims (closing salams). Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
