Ruling on students standing up for the teacher

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From Libya, from the city of al-Marz, the listener (H. H. H. 'A) sent a message containing nine questions. In one of his questions, he says:
Do not stand up as foreigners doلا تقوموا كما تقوم الأعاجم
Sunan Abi Dawud 5230
Does this hadith apply to students in the school when the teacher enters, or not?

Answer:
When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was affected by an injury from falling off his horse, he prayed while sitting. His hip was dislocated, meaning: something happened to his hip—(peace and blessings be upon him)—that made standing difficult for him, so he prayed while sitting. When the Companions stood to pray behind him, he ordered them to sit and said:
Do not stand up for me as the non-Arabs do for their kingsلا تقوموا علي كما تفعل الأعاجم لملوكها
.
As for the students, it is not permissible for them to stand on their heads to honor the teachers. However, if he stands for another reason, such as to hear the professor answer a question or if he asked him about a question and he wants the students to hear his answer, or for other reasons, then this is not of this category. If the student stands for the sake of an answer to a question, or for the recitation of a hadith or the recitation of required words from the professor so that the students can hear it, or so that the professor can hear it, then this is not of this category.
As for their standing for him when he enters, this is not recommended. Rather, when he enters, they should sit and return the greeting while sitting; this is the Sunnah. It is not recommended for him to order them to stand for the sake of honoring him. The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not stand for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he entered upon them, and he is the greatest of people and the best of people, because they knew his dislike of that—(peace and blessings be upon him)—but they would greet him while sitting in their places. Yes.
