Ruling on a man giving his brother's wife a gift similar to that of his own wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of the female listeners, who used the letters (S. H. A) as a code for her name, sent a message saying: This is the first message I am writing to you, after finding that this program is one of the best paths that illuminates the way for the Muslim. We Muslims are always in need of such things to light up the path of religion and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I am a regular listener to this program, and having found a way for a person to ask questions, I have a question, hoping to find the answer to it, which is:
I am married and have a child. I was pregnant, and my husband was working in Saudi Arabia. When he came to us in Sudan, he stayed at his brother's house because our house was small. He brought me some personal items, and when he wanted to hand these items to me, he divided them equally between me and his brother's wife. I have a question:
Is this division permissible in the Shari'ah? As a wife in the Shari'ah, I want a clear answer, since I have been harmed by this division, and I see her as my rival. In conclusion, I hope to find the answer.
And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

Answer:
There is no harm in this division. The husband has the freedom to give to you, and to give to his brother's wife, his uncle's wife, and his father's wife. He may also give to any of his female relatives he sees fit. There is no blame on him for that. It is not permissible for you to dislike that, or to be harmed by it, or to find it difficult if he treats you well and gives you what is obligatory for you in terms of clothing and maintenance. There is no harm on him if Allah expands his means and he treats his brother's wife well as a means of maintaining family ties, being dutiful to his brother, and being courteous to his brother, especially since he stayed with them. This is among the noblest of morals and the best of deeds, to honor his brother's wife, his uncle's wife, and his father's wife.
Likewise, among the noblest of morals is to treat his neighbors and all his relatives, both male and female, well.
So you should help him in this good, and be a righteous wife who helps in good, and assists in dutifulness to parents, maintaining family ties, and honoring neighbors, if he gives you your right. If he gives you what is obligatory in terms of decent clothing and decent needs, and then Allah expands his means and he gives to his brothers' wives, or gives to his sisters, or his aunts, or his maternal aunts, or the women of his neighbors, in a way that involves no suspicion or fitnah, then there is nothing wrong with that, and praise be to Allah. This is all a good and praiseworthy deed. It is befitting for someone like you to help him in this and thank him for it, because it is among the noblest of morals and the best of deeds, if he fulfills your right. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
