The Amount of Zakah on Crops and Fruits

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the nisab (minimum threshold) for zakah on crops and fruits? And is it permissible for us to give it to the poor?

Answer:
Regarding zakah on crops and fruits: if they are watered by rain, floods, or rivers, the rate is one-tenth. For one thousand sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg), it is one hundred sa'; for ten thousand sa', it is one thousand sa', and so on, one-tenth.
As for when they are watered by pumps, waterwheels, or animals, the rate is half of one-tenth. Half of one-tenth of the crop, half of one-tenth of the fruit from palm trees or grapes, half of one-tenth, if it requires effort like waterwheels and the like.
As for when they are watered by rivers and rain without effort, the rate is one-tenth, one share out of ten. If it is one thousand sa', it is one hundred sa'; if it is ten thousand sa', it is one thousand sa', one-tenth.
As for when it is watered with effort using waterwheels and pumps, the rate is half of one-tenth. In ten thousand sa', it is five hundred, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with the best reward for us and for the Muslims.
