The Fifth: What Emerges from the Earth, Such as Grains and Fruits, and Its Nisab.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The fifth category is what emerges from the earth, namely grains and fruits. Zakah becomes obligatory in it when it reaches the nisab. The amount of the nisab for what emerges from the earth is three hundred sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) using the sa' of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The weight of the sa' of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is two kilograms and forty grams, as we have calculated it. Accordingly, if what emerges from the earth in the form of grains and fruits reaches this quantity of sa's, then zakah becomes obligatory in it. That is, if it reaches three hundred sa' using the sa' of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), zakah becomes obligatory. Anything less than that does not require zakah.
