The obligation of justice between children in gifts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: A man has sons and daughters, and he gave the sons amounts of money and granted them lands as gifts, without giving anything to the daughters. Is that permissible for him?

Answer:
It is obligatory for the father to be just between his children, both male and female, and likewise the mother must be just; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.اتقوا الله، واعدلوا بين أولادكم
Sahih al-Bukhari 2587
Thus he said—(peace and blessings be upon him):
Be afraid of Allah, and be just to your children.اتقوا الله، واعدلوا بين أولادكم
Sahih al-Bukhari 2587
.
So it is obligatory for the father, if he gives them lands, or money, or camels, or sheep, or anything else, to be just between the males and the females
for the male, what is equal to the share of two femalesللِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ الْأُنْثَيَيْنِ
[Al-Nisa: 11] like inheritance. So if the man gives one hundred riyals, he gives the daughter fifty riyals, and if he gives the son ten thousand, he gives the daughter five thousand... and so on. And if he gives the son sheep, or camels, or cows, he gives the daughter the same, half. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
