The ruling on one who becomes confused about the direction of prayer in her home?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She has a question, saying: When I got married, my circumstances changed and my life became disordered, to the point where I no longer see the direction of the qiblah in my place. I see the north as the west, and vice versa. She asks your Eminence how she should act, especially since she has tested herself in her neighbors' homes and found her orientation to be correct, unless she returns to the marital home?
Answer:
She must strive to determine the qiblah with her husband, and with her good sisters, until she knows the qiblah; because this is a temporary condition, and passing whispers, which will disappear—if Allah wills. She should constantly seek refuge in Allah from Satan, saying: I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. She should ask her Lord for well-being from this matter, and healing from this matter. This is a temporary condition and will disappear—if Allah wills—and through cooperation with her husband, and her sisters in Allah, or her father if he is present, or others who are good in this matter, this doubt will disappear—if Allah wills—and matters will settle. So be reassured, if Allah wills.
And among the most important matters is asking Allah for well-being, asking Allah to grant her well-being from this temporary affliction, and to restore her understanding, her insight, and her full intellect.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
