What does a person do when touching impurity?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks and says: If a person’s clothes are wet with water, or his body, and he touches something that is impure, or he doubts its impurity, does this affect the purity of the body or the clothes specifically?

Answer:
If he touches with his hand, which is wet, something he doubts is impure, he owes nothing; the original state is purity. But if he touches something wet that is impure, or his hand is wet with water and he touches the impurity, he washes his hand only, and the rest does not harm him. He should not touch the rest of his body with the impurity. If he touches a part of his body with the impurity, he washes what it affected, only the part of his body that it touched. He should not engage in excessive doubt (waswasah). He should restrict himself to what caused the impurity only. If it is on his hand, he washes it. If he touched the edge of his garment, he washes the edge of his garment. If he touched his leg with the wetness of the impurity, he washes the edge of his leg, and so on. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
