The ruling on women going to graveyards for the purpose of gathering grass

Question:
We return at the beginning of this episode to a message received by the program from the listener Muhammad Hasan al-Nahari. We presented some of Brother Muhammad’s questions in a previous episode, and in this episode he asks and says: In our country, there are graveyards, and there is fodder and grass on these graveyards that is used for livestock, but only women go there to harvest the fodder and grass. Also, there are paths in these graveyards that women pass through, which is forbidden as far as I know. Please guide us on this matter from two aspects: the first aspect is the paths, and the second aspect is women going there to benefit from the grass and fodder that grows on this graveyard. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
There is no harm in women going to take the grass in the graveyards to feed their animals. There is no harm in that. What is prohibited is visiting the graves. However, if they come to the graves to take the grass in them and benefit from it, along with the specific paths for that, there is nothing wrong with it.
As for the paths placed in the graveyard for visitors to pass through, there is nothing wrong with them if there are no graves on them; there is no harm. However, if there are graves on them, it is obligatory for the visitor to pass between the graves and not to step on a grave, but rather to walk between the graves. Likewise, if a woman comes to take the grass, she walks between the graves and does not step on a grave. Neither she nor the man; it is not permissible for anyone to degrade the graves by stepping on them. Rather, one walks between the graves and through the spaces between them until one gets what one needs. Yes.
