Ruling on praying in a distant mosque for the sake of khushu'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the imam repeats the surahs in prayer, is it permissible for me to pray in another mosque in the same neighborhood occasionally? Because I like to reflect on the Quran the imam recites.

Answer:
There is no harm in repeating the surahs... There is no harm in repeating them in some prayers, for example, reciting a surah in Maghrib and repeating it in 'Isha', or repeating it in Fajr; there is no harm in that, praise be to Allah. You have the choice to pray in this mosque or that one. Look at what is best for your heart and most beneficial for you, and do that. However, if leaving the mosque near you might lead to suspicion that you do not attend the congregation, you should not go, in order to protect your reputation and avoid people having a bad opinion of you. Pray with the people around you so that they know you are praying in congregation, and so that you protect your reputation from people tarnishing it and from suspicion of wrongdoing.
As for if there is no harm resulting from your prayer in the other mosque, and you see that praying with the second imam is more beneficial for you and brings more khushu' to your heart, then there is no harm in that.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
