Ruling on marrying the son of a milk-sister

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is from one of the female listeners, whose name appears to be Andaa Karasa. In one of her questions, she says: My breastfed my aunt, my father’s sister, when she was about a year and a half old, and the number of satisfying breastfeedings was five or more. Is my aunt’s son permitted to marry me or not? May Allah reward you with good. If the marriage takes place, is separation definitely obligatory in this case? Please answer us, may Allah reward you, and make us all among His righteous servants.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
If the reality is as the questioner stated, and that her mother breastfed her aunt five times or more, then the aunt’s son becomes a milk-brother, the aunt becomes your milk-sister, her son becomes your milk-nephew, and you become his milk-aunt. Therefore, the marriage is invalid in that case, provided you were correct in your question. It is necessary to present the matter to the court in your area—if the mother is present—so that the father can ask her about the truth of the breastfeeding, or she should come to me if she is in Riyadh so that I can ask her.
The point is: if the reality is as you stated, that your mother breastfed your aunt five times or more, then she becomes your milk-sister, her son becomes your milk-nephew, and you become his milk-aunt. The marriage is invalid in that case if he married you. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
