Ruling on marrying the sister of one's brother through breastfeeding

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message we received from the sender, Abd al-Basit Abd al-‘Al Adam, an Egyptian resident of Jeddah. He says: I married my maternal uncle’s daughter, and I performed the marriage contract but did not consummate the marriage. This wife is the sister of a brother of mine through breastfeeding. That is, he was breastfed by my mother, while I was not breastfed by her mother. The wife is his sister only through their father, from another woman. Is this marriage lawful or forbidden?
Answer: Yes, there is nothing wrong with this marriage, as long as you were not breastfed by your mother and you were not breastfed by her mother or by anyone else who was breastfed by her. The fact that your brother was breastfed by the woman who breastfed him does not cause any harm. The point is that there is no blame on you in this matter, O questioner. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
