Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Ahmad Salem has this question. He says: Your Eminence! We have agricultural lands that were endowed (waqf) for a small, old mosque. Is it permissible for us to sell some of these endowments for the benefit of building a large, spacious mosque for the village? Knowing that the owners of the endowment are deceased, and this old mosque does not benefit from the endowment of these farms in any way, because they are in the hands of people who do not fulfill their rights.

Answer:
You must refer to the court. These matters are among the specific jurisdictions of the courts. So, you must refer to the court regarding this great matter, and regarding what the court deems sufficient, if Allah wills. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
