Building a mosque and endowing it for Allah the Exalted

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 9358 )
Q1: A man died and left his wife a sum of four hundred and fifty thousand riyals, which was the value of a house compensation he inherited from his mother. The deceased had no heirs other than his wife, as he was sterile and did not beget children, and he had no other relatives with a right to inheritance either. His wife wishes to spend the aforementioned amount on building a mosque as an endowment for Allah on behalf of her husband, her mother, and herself. Is this action permissible in the Shari'ah or not?
A1: If the situation is as described, it is permissible; because that is a direction of righteousness and good.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
