What does the imam do if he breaks his ritual purity during the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Among his questions, he says: O Shaykh, if the imam is in the state of bowing or prostration during the prayer, and something comes out of him that invalidates his prayer, what is required of him? Does he complete the prayer, or does he appoint one of those behind him?

Answer:
If the imam has a bodily function during his bowing, prostration, or at any other time, he does not continue; he breaks off the prayer and brings forward someone to lead the people in prayer. When 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was stabbed, he brought forward 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf, who led the people in prayer. If wind or urine comes out of him, he breaks off the prayer, turns away, and appoints someone from behind him to lead the people, bringing him forward until he completes the prayer for them. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and bless you.
